If you got an offer for $1,200 without the snare, take it, you'll never see that again.

Of course he would. It's a pristine downbeat kit. $1200 is a very good price for that kit in a common color. If it were a more collectable color, the lower offers would be several hundred more.

Really? A few years ago, I bought this Downbeat kit for $1,000 at Rockin Robin In Houston, it was in as good of shape as his. I'm not putting this video up for comments on my playing, it's the only evidence I have that I had one, I don't have any pics and I no longer own the kit.

...and I got my Downbeat for $300. Deals happen, but not that often. If someone is looking for a kit like this, $1200 is a decent price.

I concur, that's why I said he should take the offer.

How 'bout you leave the guy alone and let him sell it for whatever he wants. He didn't ask for your take on his price. He did the upstanding thing and offered it to us ... the forum ... as a good will gesture. He doesn't require your input on what sells or doesn't sell. He's just trying to be a drumming bud. Why do you continue to harass and jump on these For Sale threads slamming or opining worth - unsolicited? It's VERY old and VERY unwanted. Just back off and leave it be.
