Wires for Supras

Loading...

Hey guys,

On your vintage supras, is anyone running modern snare wires? Just curious. I bought a vintage one and it came with some modern wires. They seem to work okay, but I'm wondering if it's worth seeking some out some original wires or not. Thoughts?

Yep. Just got some Pearl wires on my '66 400.

There's a good chance any wires old enough to be deemed "vintage" will have seen better days. If authenticity really bugs you, just get some new Ludwig wires. Failing that, don't tell the wires that they're not vintage and they'll be none the wiser. :-)

Canopus makes some nice wires that come pretty close to vintage ones IMO

Eliminates all buzzing. For recording or gigs, these are the tetas. I use them on my bronze supra. Highly recommended.

Hey John....now that I know these are the tetas, I definitely need to try them! Not sure how many others caught that or know what you're talking about...but I do! Ha!

Callate la boca, chico! You're scaring away all the straights. LOL

The software wouldn't allow me to use the English slang for 'breasts,' so I wrote it in Spanish. I knew enough of my compadres would understand what I saying.

'Era, una puta callejera, que se quedaba con cualqueira, de pesta y de vellon!. Sabia que la chocha la tenia, como un tunel de tranvia...'

Love that old song! Falling Do
