Tonight I cleaned all the hard cases and got them out of my Drum room.

I also found that DOW Bathroom cleaner works wonders on Stainless Steel.

Cleaned my K (not polished..cleaned) as well.

tore down the 12" Tom last night as I had an Evans G1 lying about for it.

Cleaned and polished the lugs, next up is the shell and hoop.

Yes I will have pics this weekend.

Questions, the head is a VERY tight fit on the shell, its even all the way around however and the shell measures perfectly in "round".

The Remo I pulled off was tight, the Evans goes on tight....any ideas?

Shawn,

As you know, I've got some Slingerlands. Every single Slingerland drum I've worked on is like you have described. Of the Slingerland toms I just sold, one of them had the original Slingerland head and it fit tight.

The best way to solve the issue is to look into the American Vintage heads by Aquarian. They are actually slightly oversized. They are a yellowish color though, 'cause they're made to imitate the look of calfskin heads.

Concert toms, right?

Yes, I'd try the Remo CS clear/black dot. I think you'll like the sound.
