I'm sorry if my opinion of this purchase poop-poo's the party. I feel it was foolish for him to trade (a complete and intact snare) and spend additional money to acquire another (which has been pointed out incomplete) all because the wrap didn't line up or some such thing. I do appreciate his wanting his dream kit, I really do, we all have that in us, but my god man, in this economy to spend that kind of money, $7,000, when people are loosing their homes and jobs, parents often can't afford to feed their children and veterans are homeless. I feel it was ludicrous for him, or anyone else to spend that kind of money on any one thing, especially a drum! I wish you the best of luck with your dream kit, and I do sincerely hope you won't be put in a situation where you'll be forced to sell the kit for far less than what you have invested into it, that would be heartbreaking. I'd also get it insured.Pompous? Maybe I come off that way, it's not my intention. When I see people doing what most of us feel are ridiculous or foolish, I'm not the least bit shy about saying so. Sorry if someone being honest about a situation by calling a spade a spade upsets the status quo. No one has to like my opinions anymore than I have to like anyone else's opinion. I will continue to offer help and advice on solutions to various problems and issues that people bring to the table. I will also continue to give my opinion of situations and items, when someone holds up a dead cat and says, "Isn't this the most amazing thing you've ever seen!" and everyone applauds and smiles, I'm going to look at it and say, "No, it's not. it's a dead cat you fool."Peace!

Pompus not even close, this was just sent to me from a member of ghostnote, this is in his own words from his own posting on ghostnote from our so concerned citzen??.

Groaned 1 Time in 1 Post Rep Power 200 Tobacco Free!

I've smoked for 42 years, at one point I was up to 3 packs a day PLUS 6 cigars a day. I weened myself down to one pack and no cigars (sniff, sniff, I miss them. ).

Now I'm here: http://www.metroecigs.com/Default.asp (verify your age)

I'm tobacco free since Nov 20th, 2011. I can breathe better, I have more energy (I can go from my basement to the attic without having to stop and take a nap), I can taste food (how bad it is, lol). Everything smells better, on me and in the house AND (pay attention guys) ********s are harder and last longer (no joke, tobacco causes ED issues)!

I'll give the Metro's less than a year and I'll be off Nicotine too. So far I've saved close to $1,000 NOT buying cigs.

So to sum it up, by NOT smoking, I feel better, more energy, better ********s AND money in my pocket.

"What a total arrogant fool!!" so over the course of 42 years you spend tens of thousands on this habit. But yet you with you pompous arrogance cast stones on a drum for which you do not know the OP's financially status but yet you give your pompous opinion!!. so now the mirror reflects back at you!!! You ludicrous Fool!!!

Still stalking me eh Mark? Now you've sent robots to do your bidding?

You do have issues.

What did my post from Ghostnote have to do with Scott's drum?

It didn't prove anything, other than how immature you are.

FYI Mark,

Most of the members here at VDF are members of Ghostnote and have been long before you got here.

Your Buddy? Wow, 7 posts doesn't make him a member of anything. He's only there because you egged him on.

Scott, thank you for being a gentleman. Best wishes with the kit!

PS: Mark and anyone else whom might feel the need. Don't like what I say? Click ignore.

"So, to conclude the story, he agreed to trade my 3k snare for

his snare drum, plus, I had to give him $4,000.00 dollars on top of that."

That really sucks. Who in the heck is this "individual" that would take such advantage of a member here???

You can already here it ... "Hey, it's worth whatever the buyer will pay. I didn't take advantage of anyone. He agreed to pay the price. I just agreed to make the deal. I did nothing wrong."

Whatever helps you to sleep at night, Sparky.

And FYI most member on the VDF are not members of ghostnote!! your first tactic was the it's going to drive up the price of vintage drums angle, when that one was proven to Total Ignorance Then your second tactic is people are starving loosing their homes angle also the member of ghostnote that sent me your post is a longtime member there with thousands of post I genuinely have no clue whom your referring to and could careless??, I sent no one over there in fact I would deter them from that forum the post to me in a large part are childish at best! To answer your question what did your post from ghostnote have to do with the OP's drum,You excoriate him for the money he spent on a drum. and yet you spent "tens of thousands of dollars on smoking" ???. Also You don't even know his financially status at all of the OP?. So the mirror still reflects back !! Also I own many shares of RJR Stock so please don't give up smoking you have helped in my dividend check each month for this many years!!, Also I live very close to Winston Salem FYI- Tobacco capital your habit helped pay for my college education in some small part,

Hey Richard There is No love loss between the two of us you started this when you excoriated me over a post that I posted to warn buyers of an ebay seller that purposely listed a student model Radio king as a Solid Shell model, when in fact is is a plied shell model, There is a big difference in the two drums in price and collectible you did not see the original auction page you saw the amended page, I copied and pasted the original auction page from ebay and also your reply to me on this forum the VDF and your very colorful post's on Ghostnotes with all the choice words you selected and have saved all three for any legal action that I may need later on down the road with you so if you want to play the stalking card I'll be with my friend/client and attorney today at 4:o'clock est. Cause I do not take your threats lightly, So let's see how the court decides on whom was stalking who!! once again the mirror reflects back at you freaking cretin! But I'm going to let the forum members make their own call about the two of us, and from the large number of emails and Pm's I've received in my favor I'm good with it. so this will be the last you will hear from me on this matter Here which is this awesome jazzfest snare drum.I will let your own words determine your own path, Have a pleasant day sir! I sure did after the meeting with my attorney his opinion of you was the same I have of you a complete and total Retard!!! you start this crap and then threaten me. WHAT A TOTAL TOOL!!! Please take me to court you Ole retarded Worthless FOOL!!

wow folks lets step back and take a breath... Money is to each man a different thing it means very little to me but I will buy sell at what i feel is correct not someone elses idea of what is right for me.. I am happy for the thread starter that he got what he wanted i do not care nor is it any of my business what he paid.... I know i have looked for my old Rogers kit for over 20 years and have never found it but i also know I would probably pay 10,000 for it if i could find it ,in tack but then that is my business and what i would pay and what someone else would pay will always be something different lets move on....

What is the Rogers kit you are seeking? Seriously. I finally managed to pick up one of the two Rogers kits I have been looking for. It's the 65 crushed red glass in jazz sizes with matching snare. But, I am still looking for the rock sized crushed glass beauty of a kit. I'll find it ... freekin' elusive beast.
