Lots! I've only been acquiring drums for four years now....started in 2007 at 58yrs old.

Going to have to sell / give away some soon - we're down-sizing in our old age and I will not have room to store all these fine drums. It will be tough to part with them and when I do I will only let them go to good homes.

With all due respect, it's nobody's business how much I have invested in my collection.

My collection began with a couple of bargain priced great drum sets and my stash of old Avedis Zildjians and hardware from my gigging days of yore. I love the bartering and trading experience which leads to some great acquisitions. I have a lot less invested in my drums, cymbals, and accessories than I will hopefully get for those that I sell when we downsize to a smaller place to live. Restoring and maintaining one vintage 50's or 60's car would be much more costly than my ten drum sets, many vintage cymbals, a few extra snare drums, and a lot of pedals and hardware. All of what I have accumulated is American made from Leedy, Slingerland, Camco, Rogers, Walberg & Auge, A. Zildjian, and Ludwig.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I know we are in the minority, but I agree. With the ease of access to a person's whereabouts, geo-tagging of photos, etc. I would say sometimes it's best to say nothing about what you have, because someone might know where it is.

I have no problem sharing with friends that live locally, as I get to meet them and get a feeling as to who they are and what they are about. I'll share the occasional photo of something, but that's about it.

The older I get the more private I become.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

i agree 2 issues i am a firm believer in this great country we are born/live in the good ol USA and the right of freedom of speech so no one has to post anything i agree it could be bad if this turned into a negative but with my cameras and security im safe as should all of us be, today you can never be too careful with all the scams so i was just ranting on what i have into my stuff ..and # 2 for that comment, does bring to mind insurance i think ill get a separate writer but im covered for personal loss up to 350k but thats leads to the doc's. and pics and logs so God forbid fire, theft, flood, etc we can get or as in me so( i dont tread on any ones rights) restitution because as it is right now as in my missing snare floating around the usps its just my word so i believe its time for a log geez what a project this is going to be

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
