Just like to say that I haven't been riled by anything in this thread. On the contrary, I've learnt stuff (and I've been jamming to Canned Heat for the last couple of days). It's really pointless to argue about virtues of (insert name of drummer here). Let's just agree that Justin Bieber is a lousy drummer and get back to our beloved old Slingerlands!

I don`t see anything immature in this thread. I see people, (like voteing),..giveing their opinions on who their favorite drummer is.
Bonham is not mine, but he impressed me the most.
Keith is and always will be my favorite drummer. He had that wild style and was not the timekeeper of the band. I hate timekeeping !!

I have just been observing this. I have no strong opinion about who the greatest drummer is, as there are so many who are ubiquitous in their style and greatness. As I say, unless I were to be on one of the greatest rock records of all time, I have no place to say whether or not so and so were over- rated.

Rogersling, I think you are reading way to much into this really you say it is my opinion that is true and you say you see it clearly well that is your opinion... and i never ever said anything about anyone being a liar this is made up in your mind I am sorry but what you are saying does not exist... and I am sure there are many here who are friends and great pals I stated I , me, have met no one here yet I have interacted with many I send Music , food and drum stuff to people all the time but i am a member here to gain knowledge about drums and drumming let at least agree we all want to enjoy this great forum.. and I do so for you buddy i will bow out of this one and just call it good ... Sorry 'bout the raising of the tone, MikeT. You are right in defending your stance. I was just reacting to the direction this thread took. It just struck me as icky. I really could have stated it better. That's my fault. Still don't like these "best ever" threads, but ... whatever will be will be.

These types of discussions are completely and totally subjective to one's personal opinion, and as such can get very spirited/emotional. This particular discussion was handled very well for what it was! As always... carry on men!
