Hello, I have been talking to somebody about getting a Cocktail drum made for myself. He said he has a Mahogany drum 16x 24x He will add hardware too it, and maybe give it a paint job or wrap. He is asking around 250$. Is that a good deal?

Other info: Here is the shell 16" diameter 24" depth drilled for 8 lugs top and bottom 3 legs and 2 mounts up top. 60's/70's mahogany shell with reinforcing rings

I'm assuming he gave that link to show you what an appoximate value of your particular shell. There's no blue book value for vintage drums. The only way to tell roughly what your drum is worth is to look at what other comparable drums are selling for. Watch this auction to see what it ends up selling for. THAT will give you your answer. Nobody here can predict what your specific drum will sell for, Vic Firth. It's worth what somebody is willing to pay for it on the day you sell it...
