That kit is worth over 12 G's..should sound great!! But really best for the serious jazzer..

Yikes!!!! I don't think any drum set is worth $12,000.00. If you can play, you should be able to make a cheap junky set sound good. Just my opinion.

Hey Opti, don't let their veiled jealousy bother you. Congrats on a fine find. To be honest, I hope you keep them but if you do sell them please let me know. That is the creme-de-la-creme of Gretsch, my favorite color and something must be going right for you. Hey even if they do end up on eBay, good for you. Thanks for all of the kind words!! I was VERY lucky to find this kit and more so to get it for the price that i did. It won' t be going anywhere soon and if for some crazy reason i did decide to sell.. It would NEVER see eBay. I would offer it to someone on these forums. I can understand not having the $$ to enjoy a kit like this and the last person i would want to have it is someone who doesn't play their a$$ off. We know that the guys on these forums have the passion for drums! :)

Not yet man! I still need to call Jack Lawton and set up a time to have him work on the seems.. They slightly lifted, but i don't want to work on a kit of this value.. with worry of messing anything up. When i get that extra $$ - i'll have him work his magic. Plus i've got some Isty K. zildjains that are dying to meet the gretsch!

This is a kit I sold a while back to a Japanese dealer, it never made it to my website. It's a rewrap with extra holes, and I seriously doubt that it ever left Japan. I would be very skeptical of that auction.
