You can probably put it back into (near) round yourself. Just apply pressure gradually, test the fit, apply pressure again, lather, rinse, repeat.

The DF layout mat works well and is well made. I use it on every drum I build (25+ so far) and it helps keep the lug locations correct.

I agree with RogerSling. The only leverage you have is the bearing edges, but the pics so far don't show any problems.
