had a rough ordeal with him recently, lied about having a drum i needed, paid him, waited, no drum, run around for afew months. FINALLY was refunded in full after non stop hounding and letting him know i knew where he was.
i know a lot of people on this and other forums who have gotten taken by him, just google one of his forum names and you will see several scammer posts.

Kevin I saw your thread on the DFO about ole Tom Mintz. Fortunately he is banned on this forum. I can not think of a lower life forum than a predator that repeatedly rips off drummers which supposedly he is one of. OK, I was just informed he is not banned on this forum buyers beware !!!
About 5 years ago I purchased a 4x15 L&L DeLuxe Super-Ludwig from Tom and met him in person at the Chicago Vintage Drum Show. I recently bought a cool Liberty snare drum from Tom, maybe 2 months ago...both deals were fair, pleasurable with very reasonable eta shipping. Sorry to hear about the deals that have gone sour here.

I am really sorry to hear about deals gone bad involving, Tom Mintz. My experiences with tom go back almost 5 years and I've never had a problem or a bad dealing with him. I have purchased parts, drums, and all kinds of odds and ends from him, Tom -always- delivered on-time, charged 'better than fair' prices and the parts were always good quality and clean.
Doing 'hit or miss' business is inexcusable. If he's screwing even one guy, then he's screwing us all. This is not the first time I've heard these kinds of complaints about, Tom. In solidarity with my fellow drummers, I will not buy from him in the future. I sincerely hope he gets straight with anybody who has been wronged and I hope the guys that got screwed get some kind of satisfaction. Sad story as far as I'm concerned. If you took the time to get to know, Tom personally, you'd have a different opinion of him.

Yes same person, I had a dealing earlier this year, a little messy but in the end it worked out ok..
