I really like the piece of duct tape on the inside of the shell stamped with the date of manufacture. How innovative Slingerland was! I think I'll do this with my Dynasonics to settle any future debate on when they were made. :D

This must have been the transitional era where Slingerland was using vertical grain luan mahogany...LOL!!

That model is so rare, it never existed! Poor guy. I bet he got duped into buying it. Full dress MIJ! HAAAAAAA!!!!!!.
Wow, it IS really rare; using those MIJ/Taiwan lugs that weren't around until the late 70's! Slingerland was genius to use those before they even existed!
That also must be a very rare, vertical grade dark maple. Probably from a single tree on a centuries old farm on federally protected land. And don't forget the champagne sparkle triangles. That was gold melted down from the famous yellow brick road in "The Wizard Of Oz" and this particular model featured some of Toto's dog hair imbedded in the wrap. This is an absolute steal at $1! Oops I mean $100!
Looks like it had 90/50, was erased and changed to 10/50. :D
Looks like he just wrote over the original faded numbers Laughing H
Just goes to show Slingerland was literally ahead of its time!!

I did the same thing last night, Mark. Shockingly, I haven't heard back from him. Perhaps you'll have better like than me.
