Which drum set is the best looking of all...

Loading...

This set I find beautiful probably because of the memories it brings back.Dave Clark and Ringo taught me how to play with the many hours I spent as a teen playing to their records. These are rescued orphans( mostly Holiday)that had wrap cracked, falling off and even missing. With the great pictures in Not So Modern Drummer and Jack Lawton's skills these were put together to represent one of DC's first sets(as he played on his first of many shows on Ed Sullivan)The bass drum head is painted from a tracing off of a DC original. They are beautiful to me!Jim

Guys!

Just a quick reminder: PLEASE use attachments for posting pics!!! Most all of you do!, and we THANK YOU!, but some still insist on embedding with a link in the text box. The pics are TOO BIG, and blow the entire thread off the page making viewing, reading, and navigation difficult. There are other reasons for using attachments here too of course, but that is the one that is the worst. I have no choice but to DELETE your pic/post when I see those. Sometimes I have the time to resize and repost for you, as I did for crash. Other times because of the link used, I can't do that. If you find your post DELETED, it's nothing personal at all... but I have to reset the page/thread, so away those pics go. PLEASE DO put them back up! We all want to see them!, but use the attachment system. THANKS!!!

Got to ask.... anyone have anything in purple ?

Well...since you're asking about purple...here's my 1970-71 Slingerland Modern Solo 2R, wrapped in original Sparkling Purple Pearl.

There are some great kits being shown! Some are "best looking" due to color, while others are "best looking" simply from design. Keep posting your kits!

Also, here's my 1968 Slingerland BR kit. I think it really represents a classy and beautiful setup!

Okay!... as I have some down time gig wise, I set up the '65 Rogers Buddy Rich Celebrity's in my drum room. Gotta keep playin' 'em or they'll get lonely! Grabbed a couple quick pics and shall post 'em up here. Besides, idrum4fun/Mark's Slingerland Buddy Rich 80N needed company...! In the 2nd pic you can see the canister throne and the 1966 Rogers Louie Bellson 4X14 to good advantage. Hope you ENJOY!

Beautifull kits here, but what about those beautifull old rose pearl and' full dress' ones? Or maybe the full dress one was for snares only?

I love the jazz era
