What is this Ludwig snare?

I have never come across a Ludwig snare like this. It has the looks of a blackolite but with the imperial lugs. Any ideas? It appears to be a student snare but I have no idea.

It looks like a Black galaxy Acrolite with Imperial lugs. What kind of badge does it have?. I have one myself. I call it my poor man's Black Beauty. I've seen them with 10 lugs also. Mike Layton can probably give a more intelligent explanation then I can.

You nailed it Jerry. See a few of them from time to time. The 10 lug model was a snare offered with Ludwig's Birch series. They have a silver keystone badge with bowtie lugs.
