From vintage drum bug

These French drums really deserve a higher place on the vintage drum community's appreciation scale. People is starting to catch up on how well made European drums are. Hayman, Meazzy and Asba are just as good as any of the American vintage drum brands. Blair: I know you've always been an European drums fan. Do you still have that Meazzy set? I have a 9x13 tom and a 5x14 snare but on different finishes. Looking for floor tom and bass drum. My friend Paolo Sburlatti told me that the american brand C&C bought all the remaining wrap from Meazzy and they were wrapping some sets with those amazing finishes

Vin...Not always a big time Euro drum fan..just in the last 5-10 years!..

I appreciate nice design..so they attract me that way...

.Lud/Sling/Gretsch stuff gets BORING after 45 years of looking at them!

My Meazzi Hollywood drum set resides in Canada now...

I couldn't find anyone who knew what they were/wanted them!So..I took a loss on them..I STILL have the hi hat and snare stand..if anyone is interested though!

Can't wait to see you detail out these SUPER rare drums and get a Asba decal logo on the front head!

I love the lugs! Kinda like a cross between Gretsch and Leedy! Thin profile, but with Gretsch curves. Really nice design all around, I agree. Score, Vinny!

Too many great drums to list here!

Those are rare drums anywhere in that condition. Well done. How I wish I could record them!

Man for shinny.

Love how simple the tom mounts are.

WOW Vin. What a find.

I have an Asba Caroline Bass Drum Pedal that would go with that kit.

Is there an air space between the lugs and shell.

Appears to be, but only on the snare.

Great designs.

Nice one Vinny! The lugs, mounts, are off the cool scale. Love to hear them some day.

Believe it or else!

I agree the European drums are very well built.

BUT, Still think the German Stainless Steel drums are the better looking. The French drums don`t get hit on as much.

Here are two different SS kits,......16 gauge...... with a tan,(don`t like shiny) Three are known to exist.

I wonder where the French got the idea for those tom arms ????

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!
