Here is the badge I rotated to show paint.
Not a wrap.
Unusual is right! It's a players kit with an awesome finish. Has to be something added to the paint to make it look that good. But what? Again, what a great find & I hope you leave the paint as is
Here she is all put together.
I put back the rail and made a plate for the double mount.
Made up some floor tom legs because didn't have any.
Found out that the tom mount is stripped but other than that
I think it's definitely unique. On the lookout for a nickel tom bracket, the wing nut seams fine. Thanks for the replies.
Cool little set. I would not sweat it if you can't find a nickel mount. You can actually get the eyelet that goes inside that mount. It is probably just worn slick and won't hold. I have had to replace a couple of those myself.
Cool little kit. Great job!
Looks great!
If that's the early mount that it appears to be, they don't have an eyelet. The casting itself is threaded. They are bad about wearing out over time. You could find an exact replacement or find the next generation that does have the eyelet and has the same bolt holes.

That is certainly a unique finish. I can't get over the timing required for you to be driving past just as the kit is headed for the curb! It's gotta go down in the annals of vintage drums as a greatest moment...:)
Anyway congratulations on an incredible score. I love Club Dates and would also like to someday get some for one hundred dollars. :)

I went to the ATM up the street got out a $100 and brought it back to her. She didn't want to take it but I told her I can't take this without giving you this and the rest is history. Lucky day.
That was nice of her to let you give her 10% down. LOL! (Sorry, couldn't resist.) What a sweet deal and manly of you to give her some cash.
