Timpani ID? Last viewed: 16 hours ago

Anyone offer any info on the two timpani in this photo? I think they may be Ludwigs, but I have no experience with these things.

I may be able to get them for $0, but wanted to see if I could get some intel on them.

Thanks,

Lee

looks like a ringer to me very pricy

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Thanks jaghog. We'll see if they're claimed before the building is demo'd.

That's interesting as these just came up on todays Craigs List in South FL.

From the foot pedal I think those are also Ludwigs in your Pic. If I could see the pedals a little better I could tell you for sure?

Mikey777:

Not sure about the other drums. I suspect its all there for the taking if no one claims them. I'll ask. I am not able to go see this stuff to confirm make, etc.

This is a buddy who runs a construction company that is demo-ing this space and he sent me the photo and asked if I wanted any of the drums.

Vibes:

Pretty sure these are Luddys, but I am trying to confirm.

Those aren't the same drums.

From Lee's pic, I can't make out what those drums are. That looks like a sweet score, though! Free timpani are awesome in my book. Plus, if you could get some bass drums, that would be amazing. If you don't want any of them, find a local school that needs 'em...

The 12 lug red one looks like Premier lugs on it. The 14 lug white one looks to have mounts for a cart or something the like. But the timpani look to have ludwig style frames to me !!
