I see these rich list appear all the time in the media. How do the journalists find out? Do the IRS and the HMRC(UK Tax) release figures and how many years do they go back. Does it take into account money made and lost on investments? What's being held in bank accounts on and off shore. I can't see Barclays bank letting on who's got what. I can't see how they can be accurate at all more than a bit of fun.

Does this mean I can check up any of you and compile a VDF rich list?

I agree, this is all just a bit of fun, as attempting to calculate the exact financial "worth" of these people is only guess work as the value of their portfolios and real estate holdings can change in value significantly week by week.

And I bet a couple of our fellow VDF members could actually be on this list if the value of drums in their barns and warehouses were taken into consideration ;)
