Tension rods coming loose

"in picture 2...I believe the lock should be under the head of the tension rod."I think the locks are in the correct location in picture 2. Snug against the lug they act as a lock-nut. Under the head of the t-rod they could turn along with the it. Gary

I had this picture in the post before (in post #9) and do not believe this is correct....so I had edited it. It's just slid over the top of the tension rod nut...that can't be correct and could just pop off. I believe it should be like in the pic with the black drum.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to post #7. You're right about the pic in post #9. I don't see how that would work just placed over the head of the t-rod. Could the fit of the square peg (t-rod) in the round hole be tight enough to keep the t-rod from turning?

No worries...It's hard to see it in picture 2 of post #9 but it's under the tension rod head of the black drum. A lock washer on top of that nylon piece (Gibraltar lug lock) would be even better.

I found that image online (square peg/round hole in post #11) and it's not right sitting on top like that. IMO

Those 2 screws that tnsquint refers to were always an issue for me with a Dynasonic that I had.

I fitted hex nuts to both of those and I would just nip them down a little against the lugs.
