Stewart WMP 5-Piece Kit - $100!

Loading...

SOLD!!!

Hola Amigos,

Up for your consideration today is a (late 60's or 70's?) vintage Stewart WMP 5-piece kit that needs some TLC. Kit is mostly complete, but is missing some tension rods and a couple of other pieces (listed below). With a little chrome polish and light resto job, this could be a great players kit at a cheap price! Sizes are 12", 13", 16" toms, 14" snare, 20" bass drum and shells are 6 or 7-ply Luan. No cracks or extra holes in any of the shells, all badges original and intact

Priced to move at $100 plus shipping for all 5 pieces! I'll even throw in the cheapie MIT snare stand if you want it. E-mail me at elmoonlightdrummer@gmail.com.

12" tom - has both hoops but no reso head, some tension rods missing, bearing edge ok

13" tom - has both hoops but missing tom mount and tone control, some tension rods missing, bearing edge ok

16" floor tom - has both hoops but missing reso head, some tension rods missing, small nick on bottom bearing edge

14" snare - chrome is flaking on top hoop, strainer needs some attention in order to work properly

20" bass drum - missing original reso-side metal hoop (replacement wood hoop included), missing tension rods on reso side, long crack (in wrap only), small spots of missing wrap, small area with slight bearing edge damage, missing 2nd arm/mount for 13" tom.

El - I'm not an MIJ guy, but this is a perfect 'project kit' for someone. Those old Stewarts can sound real good. Some re-work of the bearing edges, a little work on getting missing parts and someone can have a good sounding kit for cheap. Your asking price of $100. should be in everyone's trigger-pulling range. They won't last long, be patient, amigo.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

You open to trades? I have an acquaintance who is looking for an MIJ specifically and may like this. He's got a few zildjian cymbals, gretsch catilina snare, 10" keller tom, electric guitar. Don't think he is a forum member here (yet:) so just PM me or reply here.

Thanks,

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Thank, Purdie...I also think it is priced just right and is the perfect project for someone to take on.

DJ333...not entertaining trades quite yet...but if your buddy wants to buy it, the price is right! If not, then I'll let you know when I'm ready to consider trades. Thanks!
