That drum looks great ! I was wondering if you cut the marching snare exactly in half would the lugs line up correctly using the one lug hole, and drilling a second.

Would that work to make two drums? You would have to find two more rerings.

And cut a snare bed for one of the halfs.

To use the bottom hole as the new top hole, for this shell, I cut this shell 5 5/8" from the bottom. The top piece ends up being scrap. The wrap is still usable for patching.
