Can someone tell me the degree of curviture of the old 3/4" Ludwig/Camco spurs. I am thinking about getting some aluminum rods, cutting, and bending them to that degree and use them on my Camco bass drum. Something inexpensive to get me by for now. I have some of those rods I am useing now but not bent correctly. I can also have one end sharpened to bite into my drum carpet.

Jim Petty 716 Rankin Dr. Bedford, Tx. 76022 (817) 268-2683 He makes and sells replica curved spurs that are almost identical to the 5/16" Camco and Ludwigs. Also the curve degree is different on a Camco 24" verses a 20" bass drum so you might keep that in mind. It would be a shame if you ordered a set and they don't touch the floor...If you don't want to just order a new set, let me know what size bass drum you have and I'll measure them for you.
Thank you. I have said 3/8, 3/4, so it is 5/16 I was a little confused about the exact size. The rods I am useing fit perfect in the mounts but would look better with the right curve. If they will still go through the mounts.
What is strange is when I got that bass drum it had Gretsch mounts and the straight double ended rubber stops. Those mounts fit perfect without any modification to the drum. So the drum is still ready for original mounts and spurs.
I have only seen one set of Camco mounts on ebay and I just could not pay what they went for. I am pretty sure this work around will work unless someone wants to trade Camco Spur's and mounts for the Gretsch Spur's and mounts.
