That is such a great story and you did a great job. Would it be possible for me to adopt you? I have some some wore out drums....

What a fantastic job! Those end pix, with your dad are certainly worth the effort...

You got yourself a boat load of mega mondo kudos for that job, mister.

Words don't describe the awesomeness of what you've done for your dad. The drums look great and, as you know, money is nothing compared to the smile you put on your dad's face. Clapping Happy2

Excellent results! That is one awesome looking set of drums! I am working on a Slingerland kit and have been thinking about what wrap to use. Yours is blue/white marine pearl? I think it looks great, very nice job!

Yes, the wrap is the Blue/White Marine Pearl. And thanks to every one for all the kind remarks!

BTW Jeff, I saw in the "wanted" section you needed a 24" hoop. I've got a pair of 1.5" wide 24" hoops (with inlay groove) "left over" from dad's project. They both have come apart at the original joints and need to be re-glued and they need re-finishing.

PM me if you're interested, you can have'em for just whatever it'll cost to ship.

Yeah, I know... this is the second reply about this kit, but I have too... I was afraid that the kit would lose the 'mojo' from the rewrap... you know, just be another rewrapped Slingy kit. I was wrong. Your father has beat so much mojo in those things, and with the job you did, I'm sure you've invented a mojo multiplier here.

Fair Warning: DO NOT ever put this kit very close to a lessor kit. Especially some weasel kit like cheap Tama's or Pearl's or something. The mojo in these would cause the others to burst into flames... fry right on the spot.

Trust me, mojo exponentiation is not something to be tampered with.

Hi Jeff!

Oh man... suffice it to say that I'm glad I experimented on a 'First Act' POJ (Piece Of Junk) shell before trying it on anything else.

TOTAL FAIL!

Gads... it looked awful. The cat tried to bury it...
