There is a reproduction Red Agate / Red Onyx available from the usual wrap suppliers. It is not the same as your red Tiger. But, for one hoop inlay (for the batter side), it will be more than close enough. Here's
one source.

Thanks Leedy! I know that stuff is available as a last resort, and you are right...it looks really close. I already have some red-sparkle and chrome inlay hoops so Id likely do that before ordering more "un-original" stuff. Crossing my fingers that someone has a hoop!

I love Sam and he's always done me right ... but ... I would steer you away from his version of this wrap. It's a bit too light and tight and honestly, it's a pretty bad repro. Precision, on the other hand, has spot on matching. Theirs is much deeper and darker and more true to the original.
Thanks RogerSling! Ill definitely get samples first if I decide to go that route! Id likely go through Precision anyway...I deal with Gary all the time and have always been happy with the outcome.
Thanks again for all the help guys! Ill get some pics of this kit up when it is done. In the mean time....anyone else got Red Tiger kits they wanna show off?

Alright! Got em today!
Here are a couple pics. 1st on is in the car (like the snoopy sheet?). The kit came with all the original (COB) hoops...they just werent on the drums when I got them. The part of the inlay that looks screwed up is actually black tape that the previous owner used to gently tape the inlay down (its cracked in one place but can easily be glued/stapled hid under a claw. The other hoop is missing the inlay.
Second pic is of the floor tom (un-dusted or cleaned in any way). This thing barely has a scratch on it. Its going to be beautiful when Im done.
The zoomy is missing the knob, and I will need 8 "torpedo" rods for the bass drum (right now I have 70's Slingy rods on the front). Other than that....its all original. Batter heads are even original! No rust in sight on this thing. It is going to clean up fantastically. Got a handful of extra Slingy parts in the deal and a bunch of hardware/entry level cymbals that Ill sell to try to make some of my money back. Mounts are early blank aluminum. Serials are all 220xxx and 224xxx. Set o Matic mount is P.A.F. and works great.
Last pic is the kit set up (in bad lighting) just to get some even tension on the shells. I won't be able to start on this thing for a week or so....so I just want it to be happy while it is waiting. Thought Id share a pic for anyone who wanted to check it out!

WOW!
Sweetness just drips off those things! Like real maple syrup on pancakes at grandma's...
Very cool!
Nice kit. You most likely know, but your mount is backwards.
Adam, Nice set you have..I do know that Slingerland only used the cass Aluminum tom mounts and bass drum mount plates only in 1968...These mounts are somewhat rare to fine on a set...Slingerland change to the chrome mount plates in JAN1969...Mikey
