Okay I'm going to sale it although it doesn't have the flange with the holes in it it just has the brass ring that sits on top of the screws or is that the tone flange? Someone said that's not the tone flange there are no cracks nor splits in the shell nor the wrapping. I live in Huntsville, AL how do I sale it go to ups or fed ex and ship it or something I'd rather have someone to meet me and pick it up willing to got out about 2 he's. Outside of where I'm located but gas will be added to the total cost with receipts
Slingerland Snare Drum
Okay my number is 2562889956 if your interested in this snare give me a call and we can make arrangements thanks im Evan McCrary
I think it's still in the range I estimated. It may not be the factory original strainer, however there are no extra holes, it lines up properly also being a Slingerland strainer. Chances are that the original broke at some point during Slingerland being in operation and this was the replacement that was available. If Slingerland was closed when the original had broken I'd think a more generic strainer would have been fitted ( as we've seen too often )
You are correct. That strainer is much later. The correct #967 for this green drum would be the earliest type with the small adjustment knob, backward facing sliding plate (where the string goes through) and no diamond cut-out on it. They are really hard to find but crucial for a drum like this. Expect to pay over $200 for the right one.
