Slingerland Lugs ID

So I have a potential buyer for my 28" Slingerland Marching Bass Drum. However, three of the twelve lugs are snapped in the middle. While they can still hold a tension rod, they should be replaced. The buyer asked how easily they could be replaced, to which I am unsure. These aren't the typical Slingerland lugs. Any info on them and their availability would be great.

Those are called Super Tension bass drum lugs

Item number 569 in the Slingerland catalog

I've seen the parade drum lugs, model 568 several times on Ebay, but don't recall seeing the bass drum version.....but, I also was not looking for them

Are these more rare than the typical Slingerland lugs? I'm trying to look these bad boys up to see if I can pick up a few. But I am coming up short.

Yes, they might be harder to find

So Kevin..(or Someone), are they the same lugs as used on Magnum Snares in the early 80's ?

Cheers

John

Man, I don't know.....the old Slingerland catalogs used to have killer pages of parts and you could match up hardware by parts numbers in successive catalogs when existing parts got used on new models, but they aren't in my scans of newer years.....bummer

Thanks...Kev, they do look the same to me ... Plus same name designation..

I reckon that "ArchXAngel", you should try and get the hole spacing/dimensions from someone who has that 700 series Snare... That may widen your search opportunities...

& Good luck

John

The hole spacing is 3 7/8". I think I may try and sell these on their own. But I know a few guys who I'll ask first since I know they come across a lot of shells and usually need parts. Thanks again guys!
