Slingerland kit complete

Jeff,

I am sure I am in the minority here but I would much prefer that kit in it's refinished a re-wrapped state than a beat down and tired blue sparkle. I think the kit looks fabulous and I personally would not install the tom mount. Virgin kick drums look and sound great and there are plenty of other options for mounting a tom. I bet if those drums could talk, they would say "THANK YOU!"

Killer kit man!

Thanks everyone for making me feel better about the "new" wrap. I do like it very much, just like the vintage look better. And I have my Ludwig Super classics set up with the 13 on a stand and I kind of like how you can position it better. And I agree , a virgin bass drum looks good, never really thought about the sound quallity much. I have yet to use the bass drum but the others sound great especialy the snare drum. These might be the best sounding drums I own.

That is one gorgeous kit! It looks like you shouldn't even THINK about getting behind it without a jacket and tie. Beautiful work!

Well, they may not be authentic, but they're a fine looking set of drums. You have made them useful and it's obvious you put a lot of work into them.

Well done.
