Sea Green Pearl set with matching Banjo.... Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Loading...

I finally got around to taking some photos of this set. It's a 1930's Slingerland with a 9x13 Leedy tom added to it. The matching banjo has no maker's name but may be a Vega, also from the late 20's-early 30's...

Now that's really something! You should open up a museum and charge two bits a gander. You'll be rolling in the green. The other type of green. :)

I absolutely would love to open a vintage drum museum! My collection is rather small, so it would have to be free admittance. Although, I guess I could make money by selling my famous homemade pizza! ...$10 per slice!

No better man for the job. So it'd essentially be a Pizzaria with a vintage drum theme? Put me down for some of that. That's some fancy cookin' :)

I would actually pay just to see one of your drum sets. This is the type of thing I don't ever get to see. Living in Ireland we produce some fine calf skin heads, but no drums! We had Joseph Rogers, but he left. You're welcome America. :)

Man, that's a good looking pizza. Pepperoni, mushroom, and spinach with fresh mozzarella? Add some fresh roasted red peppers and I'll take two slices even at $10 a slice, but is that a 14" or 16"? Without a snare drum in the picture for scale, it's hard to tell.

Oh, and the Sea Green drums look mighty tasty also.

Ha! Actually, the green stuff on the pizza is fresh basil leaves. I think the pizza in the photo is a 9x13.

That's interesting. I have shipped drums all over the world but never to Ireland. Is there no interest in vintage drums in Ireland?

And thanks for Joseph Rogers! Yes Sir
