I have a 7x14 RK.Aluminum cloud badge,in WMP.Its the Super Gene Krupa,and it does have that kind of honk and woof(very technical I know)to its sound.I don't play it nearly as much as I should,because its all original,down to the last screw,and I guess i'm afraid of breaking something.A little silly really.Buy the drum,you won't regret it.:) Steve B

it is kind of silly. if i was you, just to be on the safe side, go ahead a let me know what you want for it and i'll make sure it gets its legs stretched regularly. i'm just kidding obviously. you are extremely lucky as are all of us with drums like this. mine is like yours and sits in front of my 28"x14" kick with matching badge. i have had these two pieces for about 15 years and one of my favorite things to do in life is beat the stuffing out of them. still all stock top to bottom. i've never had anything on these drums fail. believe me.... they can take everything you throw at them and then some my friend. have fun.(now if you'll excuse me, i better go knock on some wood)DOH

I just put some Aquarian American vintage heads on,and put the calf reso head into storage.WOW..I am in love all over again.Still keeping it at a medium tuning.Cool1

they are a great size snare drum to have, here is a 1936-1939 Gene Krupa 7x14" black gold duco model
