"not Fade Away" Last viewed: 9 hours ago

Anybody catch the recently released movie, "Not Fade Away"? It's got some great looking vintage kits (Rogers, Slingerland, Gretsch and Ludwig) in it as well as some great '60s music. Not sure if I thought the movie was all that good but the "eye candy" sure was.

Haven't seen it yet, but I plan to despite the lukewarm review.

The musical director was Little Steven Van Zandt, who has said in several articles that he wanted the instruments to be as authentic as the songs. He did a good job from what I've heard.

I did notice Van Zandt's name when they ran the credits at the end of the film. As far as the autheniticity of the instruments, some of the kits included a BDP Rogers, a WMP RB Gretsch, and an OBP Ludwig. There was also a clean blue sparkle kit thrown in as well as a red sparkle in a display window in a Hollywood Music Shop. Again...nice eye candy!
