Plain white drum heads

Loading...

Hey Fellas,

Do any of you know of any brand of drum heads that come without a logo? It can even be a cheapie brand, as they are not going on a drum kit...it's for a decorative drum that I am working on. I think I read that the logo on Remo smooth white heads will come off with acetone. Anyone ever try this? I know it worked for a clear Remo head that I tried it on. Any suggestions or 411 welcome. Thanks!

youre right. the smooths wipe right off with acetone or the finger nail polish remover that has acetone in it.

That is correct. Acetone, Goof-Off, GooGone, etc. will take care if that for you.

I use Goo-Gone too. Just don't let it sit too long on a coated head. When you see the ink in the logo crinkling, remove it right away. It'll take off the logo and the head underneath will be fine.

Too many great drums to list here!

Naptha/lighter fluid will work also. If you take a good whiff of goo gone you can't miss the zippo/ronson base.

Believe it or else!

I asked around at the local drum shops and guitar center to see if a set came in with just plain white heads. I've gotten lucky a few times because they are usually just floating around in the back taking up room and they are glad to get rid of them.
