Picked this very nice condition dark blue sparkle 5.5"x14" Slingerland Hollywood Aceup yesterday. It was in well cared for condition with no rust and mostly pit free lugs. Came with the factory heads and snares which I've stored so I can enjoy playing it. With a fresh Ludwig snare side head and set of Puresound Custom snares I also added a well liked Emperor batter that is coated and also has the white film. Remo still makes 'em. The drums factory cut bearing edges are like mint and the drum tunes up and sounds exactly you'd expect. The old Slingerland house snare drum sound is present and accounted for! The date stamp which was drilled through for the badge appears to indicate a manufacturing date of Nov. 1965 which is a month before I was born. It's one of the nicest looking and playing vintage wooden snare drums I've had the luck of owning.
