I'm so excited I could spit... Here's the lowdown.
I drove 4 hrs to get what looked like a Stage Band kit from ? year. I posted questions in a thread titled, Are these really Slingerlands, and was encouraged by the feedback. You can check out the seller's photos in that thread.
Made the 4 hr drive and got the kit. Overpaid maybe, at $450, but I could afford it and have been wanting a Slingerland kit since buying my first '66 Star. For what I play, I prefer the 20/12/14 setup over larger drums and can't wait to hear the 14x5.5, matching snare! I'm not sure what to make of some aspects of this kit and have taken many photos of all drums.

Snare and Bass definitely look alike and have the same stamp in them ending in 65. Snare and Bass pics here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/apvmiv03evuducn/eJFzSysSrC They are both faded exactly the same...and I like the tangerine color a lot:)
Toms are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/khhpvtrv3cjkh43/G_516Vwx6I
It looks like they were rewrapped. Ft has a Jan 17, 1966 date stamp, but no vent hole for a badge. Leg mounts look to be missing pieces. Rt looks like it was a concert tom that was converted. interior is painted and there look to be professionally filled lug holes just under the top re-ring. there's a vent hole that was covered with the wrap. All drums have stick saver hoops except the bottom of the rt.
I'm looking forward to getting this kit fixed up, looking shiny and sparkly and sounding great.
Thanks for any thoughts you might have on dates, renovation 1st steps, etc...
