Ludwig Standard's - Rate the wraps

Howdy All,

Well, I'm biased, because I own a Standard set in the Avocado Strata finish! (with "classic" vise "standard" lugs)

Glad to see how much more interest there seems to be in this series. Thanks to all on this site who take the time to share their knowledge of vintage drums with the rest of us! I've learned a lot since becoming a member.

I had a Silver Mist set with matching snare. Mighty sweet.

Currently playing for loud rock and roll gigs:
1982 Ludwig Classic in white Cortex, 24-13-14-18 + Coliseum snare
For quieter gigs:
Early '70s Whitehall Tiger Eye Pearl 20-12-14-14
Neglected but thinking about:
Early '70s Sonor Champions in Rosewood, 22-12-13-16

I must say that I am not a fan of the standard lugs and finishes but, that blue mist is real cool, and I really dig that single tom mount!

Never cared much for the finishes myself either,but if yer gonna make me choose I'll take the avocado swirl
