'71 Acro came into my possession as a sanded/patina'd shell with no hardware. I planned to paint it, but liked the way it looked with all the chrome hardware, so I left it as is. Shell has 1 extra hole, but is covered pretty well by the strainer. The $ is in the hardware, which is COB single-flange hoops, COB tube lugs, P-86 strainer, script logo butt plate and 12-strand Puresound Equalizer wires. I think it makes a mighty fine snare as is (reminds me of the NOB snares from the 20's) or you can polish, paint or powder coat the shell to your liking.
