Ludwig & Ludwig - 1933- Hi Luster Drum Kit - 28" & 14"

Loading...

Here is a rare one.. Only available in 1933, Ludwig & Ludwig Hi Luster Kit. The outfit was a 28x14 and a 14x5.

She still has the original calf skin Ludwig heads on the 28".

This was a cutting edge "high durable" paint finish that was available in green and blue. Fully or partially dressed with diamonds was an extra option. I think i may have put the tension rods on backwards without realizing it..

all I can say is WOW!!!!

I love the all dressed diamond pattern. looks like the sparkle finish was applied to (copper or brass??)) first before being attached to the drum with nails. Can you make out how they did that exactly, I'd love to try and duplicate that on a future project.

I even love the crazing on the snare drum finish, you can't find that pattern anywhere. Love Vintage!
