Hi Vintage fans,

Please could someone help me out on a ludwig snare drum? Ive just bought this drum on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190628555249?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Ive owned two before, one with 70's grey finish, and a sixites annodized model. I can see that ludwig seem to have used a 400 shell on this one, but HOW rare is it????

Thanks

Big Z

The Supraphonic and Acrolite shells were/are the same, actually...only the Supras would then get chrome plated (hence, the pitting problems). It seems that this one was a 70's acro that has been polished. I've never seen or heard of this coming out of the factory, but would never put anything past Ludwig. Although, some previous owner may have had this Acro polished. Either way...good for you...looks good like that!
