These are my 70s Ludwig 12, 16, 22, Acrolite Snare being played by my son. They were part of a larger double bass kit with 12,13,16, 2x22. Not sure if you can see the drums due to the eye candy in the photo!!!

Been taking the '64 Ludwig w/Supraphonic out lately in 2 configurations. Vintage As and A customs all around.

Traditional:

The kit depends on the gig but I have three or four in rotation right now. It also depends on how much space I have etc.

The first kit is my very first kit which is a 1964 Slingerland kit. It has been refinished and modified because I will never sell it so it doesn't matter. It was originally 12,12,14,22 with the Krupa snare but I dropped one of the 12" toms and just use it as a 4 piece. It was originally a yellow satin flame but it bubbled and peeled away years ago. I use this kit a lot when I play with a local blues band. It's a great kit for hosting those open mic nights as well.

With my original band I play a 90's Nashville era Studio King kit. The kit is 10,12,14 (Not pictured), 16, 16x22 and 5x14. I play this kit because it is just a monster sounding kit. There is good reason that they don't come up for sale very often.

Tomorrow night thought I am playing my Joe Montineri kit. 12,14,16,20 and 6.5x15.

The green slingerlands I use live With new paiste 2002s. 24,13,16,18. Cymbals are 22,20,and 17. The silver sparkle 62s kit I use sporadically live and recording. Although I usually play live with the green kit most of the time, I switch around with my rogers or radio kings. The green kit just happens to be my favorite I think. I rewrapped and restored the shells inside and out myself. She is very loud.
