Leedy question?

Loading...

Was wondering if these claws and t-rods are correct for a 1947 bass drum? Most of them I see in this era had thin claws. Also the hoops are black and seen many natural. Did they come different styles?

Thanks for the info.

Ps: I am missing one claw and t-rod like this if anyone has info on where to find one. I am checking eBay so other than eBay.

Yes, both claw and T rod are Slingerland. Leedy did use them but not until after 1955.

As far as I know, a 1947 Leedy bass drum would have these claws and t-rods. This is from my '53 Leedy & Ludwig, but I also had them on a '49 Leedy kit that I once owned.

So it looks like they might be changed out?

Were all your hoops non painted also?

Thanks for the help guys.

Okay, so trying to get this straight!!

Here are some pictures of the floor tom & bass drum badges.

Also bass drum interior shot with date.

Looks to me from what everyone is saying that the wrap, lugs and shells are Leedy.

The bass drum rods, claws and hoops are Slingerland. Does this seem correct??

Bass drum inlay matches the wrap which is confusing me also, but I can easily be confused.

Thanks for your patience.
