According to those who have bought drums and cymbals from Joe, He Always Gave a Receipt!!! This is a fraudulent listing and has been covered before on this forum...And in great detail...

Yeah I'm sure we have been through this before. This kit shows so many signs of being different from the kit shown in pictures of JM playing his period B/O kit.

Basically as we say here in Britain, don't touch it with a barge pole!!

Has anyone asked the seller if he has a receipt?

Next, YES, I've already posted my question to the seller about provenance... very politely of course!, and will post a response here if supplied.

Did you ask why this kit has ten lugs and the photo of Joe`s has eight ? The seller claims that the pic shows the BD and FT`s being played by Joe that are for sale !i

Very interesting about the bass drum! I didn't look close enough. Yes, Ludwig had 10 lugs on 22" bass drums and larger and 8 lugs on 20" bass drums and smaller.

Now, I've heard from the seller... twice... and will provide the replies below. I'm not quite sure why they love to use "question marks" so much! ???

[COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"]The owner of this kit studied with Joe Morello! He is a very famous recording engineer and would be more than happy to provide the buyer with a letter of authentication that would be approved by any party that does this sort of thing!

?? Trust me, Resurrection Drums has been in business for 35 years, and I would NEVER advertise such a thing without having ? dead on? 1000% proof that this is authentic!

Hey Mark!

Whereas I can't so much comment on the authenticity of the JM Ludwigs, I CAN tell you that all the ???????????????'s are a "glitch" that happens sometimes when one sends a reply contingent on what software or delivery system they use. I have seen this before! I've gotten replies that were loaded with ??????????????'s too... and almost always through eBay. I have a feeling THAT is where they might eminate from, or at the least ONE of the places anyway. Interesting!
