From Purdie Shuffle

That photo reminds me of a terrible thing I did once when I was 14. My buddy had a girlfriend he was boinking. One afternoon, he was making out with her on a park bench while myself and another friend were sitting on either side of them. My friend Freddy would purposely pull his arm away while he was kissing her (she had her eyes closed as they kissed,) and me and my other buddy Tommy would take turns 'copping a boob-feel' every time Freddy pulled his arm away. I know... but we were just kids, so I've forgiven myself for that one a long time ago.John

Laughing H John I think many of us have stories like this. Growing up in a small town in the 60's we had to make our own fun as kids..... we did. I can certainly relate. :o Yes Sir

Glenn.

YES was my answer to this post... and it worked for me.. but only once..

First band I was in (All of us green behind the gills).. I used to bus it home after work and sometimes sat next to a girl and we would chat a bit.

She told me of a friends 21st that was coming up & eventually this led to her booking our band for one of our first ever gigs. The gig went well & so did the relationship .. we now have two adult sons & four grandkids.

Cheers

What a great pic. I studied with Bob as a young person back in Massachusetts. Bob was indeed THE jazz teacher, along with Alan Dawson in the New England area. A great guy, and the teacher of the foundational concepts that are with me still.

The reason I started playin ain't so noble.

This brings back some great old road stories and like someone said before-...don`t we all have them in one era or another. Thanks for sharing and bringing back the good ol` days. At least while all the guitar players were getting kissed at the after party,us drummers could drink their beer and be just as happy,well...almost.
