How old is this snare? Is it worth 200.00 bucks?
Is this Gretsch snare worth it? Last viewed: 9 seconds ago

6-lug single tension-it's a conversation piece,unless you are looking for a "loosey-goosey".My humble opinion.....
Thats an odd one for sure...haven't been able to find anything similar in the old gretsch catalogs either.....Hmmmm
I think this is the third time that seller has tried selling it, it was starting bid 250 a couple weeks ago and 300 a few before that.
I collect 6 lug Slingerland snare drums. Let me know if you have any for sale. Looking for Yellow Tiger, Silver Veil Pearl & Turquoise Veil Pearl
I would say the badge & hardware are worth that at least. It's kind of a cool looking drum.

Yep, that 4-point strainer is hard to come by.... ask Ludwig-dude
Yep it sure is! took me over a year to find one to finish a restoration!

Ya - I remember talking to you about that when I was looking for one for my 6lug Dixieland.
The one above looks different than mine (the dial?), but it is still a four point like the Renown.

Damn, that's different than mine too....
Is that dial wrong?
The ones we have are different from that one. That one is an earlier version.....the knurled knob is from the mid-1950's onward, which is the style the three of us have....ok? ok. LoLoLoLo
