Dude,

http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/msg/3428952536.html

Just go and snag this up. Yeah - it's not American, but the more you read up on MIJ on this site, you will learn that there is much reason to have respect and appreciation for these. And besides - OMG - Look at the thing! It is an appealing color (as I can tell how you want a cool looking Vintage color - fact is MIJs have better colors than the Americans) and it truly will sound great. The price is right and you will easily be able to afford cymbals with the money you will save. It already has a matching snare.

Must I go on any longer? I am drooling at this kit, as Dixies are quite rare and this one is in immaculate condition. I have one just like it (it is a Pearl made 72-74, battleship lug) in Charcoal Pearl and I have only seen maybe 2 or 3 others with this badge ever, other than mine.

no, I am not affiliated with this seller, nor am I able to go get it for you. Hopefully he will be willing to ship. Not sure if he is on this forum or not (he's been exposed----hope he does not care if I put this up here).

Sorry-

Did not realize you were in Australia. Maybe you have stuff like this over there?

Well in Australia, there isn't much in the way of vintage drums on eBay or Craigslist. That's why I'm looking at America to source things. I'll just keep looking around for different drums. I hope that someone on here wants to clear some space in their garage and finds some nice orphan drum they want to sell me :)

Thanks

Seb

It will cost you to buy from America (in the form of shipping costs). The members that immediately come to mind are

Billnvick

and

drumfactory (who is in Illinois).

Those two have a ton of drums.

Also, look on the Guitar Center website in their used gear. That is another option, and you WILL find cool vintage full kits on there - located all over the country.

Best Blessings,

John
