Hello,
Has anyone seem these screws on a RB Gretsch floor tom before? The only mounts I have seen are screwed in from the inside. The bolts apear to be similar to the type that hold the mufflers in place. Thanks!

Yes, I've seen that style before.....I believe that they are earlier than the screw from the inside design. I believe they were used up to the mid-late 50's.
Yes - I have them on my 58 Gretsch kit that was bought new in 1960 by the previous owner. The ones that screw in from the outside - like your photo - are harder to come by in my experience.
Ditto. I have these screws on my 1950s 3-ply RBs. [Edit: they're on the diamond plate cymbal mounts. My floor tom leg mounts are twin-post Gladstones, not diamond plates. The bottom line is that this type of screw seems to be found on earlier models.]
Yes Gretsch used that type of mount with the screws from the out-side like your mount you posted from 1950 to 1960, then they change the mounting screws with washers inside the drum in 1961..By the way your mount has the right "T" nut on it also the nuts for the mounting screws you have a "HEX" shape and are 1/4 threads...I have N.O.S mounting screws washers and nuts if you need them....Mikey
Hmpf. Just learned something. Didn't known they used through-mounting hardware back then.
