Few of my Snares

Loading...

Since I've been snapping a lot of photos of late of my MIJ drums, figured it was time to show a few of my Ludwigs & Slingerland. I've got my 70's Supraphonic ( Painted white because the chrome finish was beyond roached ) Then I have my 60's Keystone Acrolite in great condition. Last is my C.O.B Krupa Model. It was missing the original butt plate, so instead of adding new holes I mounted a piece of wood using the existing holes, then placed my butt plate onto the wood.

The Krupa C.O.B. The original turning knob for the Zoomatic was gone. I had one laying around that fit and hasn't given me any grief.

Very nice! How did that paint job work on the supra and what kind of paint did you use? It's hard to tell in your pictures.

I actually went with White Rustoleum. Figured it would be a better bet to help stop any further corrosion. Took me two coats to get it nice and solid, but I like the results. Certainly took away from the collector value, but It's not all about value.

I agree with you 100%!!! Not everything has to have a value attached to it! Nice job, sir!

Say, I own her little sister! This drum was is such bad shape, a music store GAVE it to me. We know that doesn't often. I took off the remaining chrome, got new hoops and a strainer. My buddy painted it in Cadillac pearl white. Sorry for the poor pics.
