Hi guys, is there any difference between 'pat pending' and patented
Ralph Kester Ching Rings? Aside from the verbage engraved in the ring of course, heh.
Seeing some crazy high prices lately for the 'pat pending' ones. Thanks in advance gurus! :)

sound wise No !! But the cheap re issues ones that are out now, Yes !!
Thanks VM, I have one of the patented originals, checking feeBay lately on things and saw a earlier pat pending version sold for BIN 199. That could have been a fluke sale...
It of course depends on the condition of them I have 2 of them pre patented NOS in the original box I wouldn't sale them for $300.00 a piece.
Yeah, the 199 one looked like a player. NOS mint condition is a whole other story for sure :)
What exactly is a ching ring?
Put this on a hi-hat or on a cymbal or just play it? sorry for the ignorance.
it mounts on top of a hihat or cymbal most are used on top of the hats, John Bonham made them must have items.
