Sorry to hear this John...
Prayers for you both.

Guys, thank you all!
I don't want the thread to end this way on a sad note. I'm going to take some photos of the entire kit tonight or tomorrow and post them up. Hopefully it'll bring this thread around full-circle and back to these great, rare, old drums.
Again... thank you all for the kind thoughts. It really is appreciated.
More pix shortly!
John
Sorry I have been out of the loop on this one. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God bless

Hey John
This is the 10" tom that was part of your kit. It is now part of my kit.
Does that make us inlaws or sumpin?
Sound great! I have been looking for a 10 (original) for a couple of years.
Thanks for making the trade. Now lets see more of yours!
JJ
great job jerry. that thing looks amazing...

Damn, Jerry! That 10 came out killer! The Mach lugs 'make the kit' for me. That's a versatile kit you assembled. It's also a sweet Fusion/Jazz/Latin set-up with that 10 in there. The deal we made was good for me, Jerry, I couldn't be happier with my Jenkins/Martin snare. It really completed my kit.
I'm happy to be able to help you complete yours! Win/win all around. And yes, it makes family, or cousins, or brothers, or any way you want to put it. Think about it... how many people out of the entire population are there in the world with the kind of drum fever/obsession/passion that we suffer from?
At any given time, there are only but so many drummers in the world. We're a small section of humanity who keep the instrument and art of drumming alive and well for now, and for the next generation. I don't know what that makes us to each other, but it's something. It's a family/group of souls with the same deep-seated, Karmic, inner need, to drum. Brothers by other mothers... but our souls share the same loves.
Thanks, Jinx. I'll post up some new shots shortly. Still very busy running around taking care of Bev's mom's personal business. The 10 came out killer!
John
