I just found one from last night, unfortunately it's with a fill in guitarist. Our guitarist couldn't make it, so we had to scramble around to find a replacement. Needless to say, we had a few train wrecks.

Well, normally It's not so bad, but both gigs were outside and we've been getting a lot of rain so it was very humid, not to mention they were each 4 hour gigs. Plus I'm getting older, but I love playing.

Ahh..The famous "outdoor" gig, complete with rain, bugs, powerful sun beams, and humidity..I know it all too well.. Once did an acoustic backyard gig for a wealthy gentlemen who had a massive pool, that of which we didn't swim in, because by the time we were done with the set up, sun was setting..So we were in 30+ degree weather (Canadian metric system ;) high 80's for you guys,;) in jeans with the pool mocking us as we baked in the sun.. Next time i get a gig like that i'm bringing my swimming shorts !

we gigged friday n saturday this weekend too mark. friday nite was ok but last nite was a blast. we was over to east peoria and we packed the place, crowd wouldn't leave the dance floor. i had to stand on a barstool most the nite so i could see my guys over the people. i got tons of pats on the back and hand shakes from the people coz we sounded so freakin good. the best part is we booked two more gigs for separate parties. actually the best part of the nite is when the crowd sang along with the guys and drounded out our lead singer. it put goosebumps all over my body. i love it when we move the crowd with our music.

oh and yeah i remember those looong weekends of nonstop music from wednesday nite thru sunday afternoon, wasnt that long ago we did that for six yrs straight. those were our glory days.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how did you play the drums standing on a bar stool most of the night?

I played for a big party the guitar player in the band I play in has every year. It was in the parking garage of his condo on the beach, and was like 95 degrees. Was fun. Lots of musicians. Three other drummers. I provided a set. By the time our band played I had been there hours and many beers in that heat.
