I'm not sure how to do that exactly. If it's OK with Tommy p then I'll figure out how to do it. I assume I have to put that on YouTube and then post a link to it.

Hey Jeff!

No problem on putting up your video here. Uploading to YouTube and then linking to it here is the best way. We don't want a ton of videos on the site, but the membership has been really good about honoring that, so yours will be fine!

Just learned road house blues last week, I had a hard time playing that shuffle the whole time.

For a guy that get's out just once per year, you had quite and evening Jeff! And soloing in the dark. That's pretty tricky. As to the shuffle, I don't here Densmore shuffling on that one, though clearly it is a good technique to employ on that tune.

You might want to think about trying for 2 or 3 times a year. The Band

The audio on my phone is not the best. My drum teacher just introduced what he called the shuffle on the Monday before the gig and he and I played road house together for practicing it, he played the bass and I the drums. Unfortunately the audio did pick up a couple unwanted rim-shots at the beginning of the solo, I will blame the darkness on that. And yes, we would like to play out more, still need a lot of work to make it public.

Hey, Jeff!

That was a great solo! It was tasteful and flowed really well into each new section! Wow! Even playing in the dark, you were amazing! Hats off to you, sir!

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

Hey thanks everyone for your nice comments and support. I'm sure I will eventually play out more just need to keep the lessons going and practice practice practice. But at least I am at the point where I feel the confidence and totally believe I can do this. Its the staying out to 2 am part that I'm not sure about.

Thank you!

Yes, you need to move to a town with a music curfew around 10 PM. I used to have an annual party at my place on Plum Island in MA. Cops would shut us down every year at 9:30. So we'd start around 7 and it worked out really nicely. Of course, that didn't really mean everyone left at 10, but they were long gone by midnight.
