Came across these Slingerlands and wonder if they are worth investing the time into. All you Slingy fans, chime in!

Depends how much they cost.. and how much time you have.. some better detailed pics would no doubt draw some more advice..
They do look workable..

Thanks for the input John. They are $100. I don't know much about Slingerlands, never owned a set of them. I have no idea what the buzz is for drums like these, with no bottom heads from the factory, just a chrome ring. From what I can tell, they are a "Pop Set" but I don't know much more than that.
For a 100 bucks I'd certainly buy them as a project.. Lots of guys here are not too keen on the single head toms.. but a few guys have them..
There is always the option of adding another head to them as well. Some of those shells often have a bearing edge cut under the aluminium strips.

I'd pass unless you can get them for $50. I'm all for projects but a nice Slingy set is affordable these days.
I paid $350 more and got these. No work required and ready to go.
I see at least $200 and a hell of a lot of labor to get those toms and bass drum into playable condition as single-headed drums. I'm going to guess that the snare drum is a generic Asian import cheapie. A more realistic $300-$400 in cost plus even more time and effort could make these drums into a very nice double-headed good looking player's drum set. Once upon a time, I would consider taking on the project. But, not now. $100 for what is pictured is a lot to pay.
Looks like they are 5 ply as well. No re-ring on the kick like the more desirable 3 ply drums. That being said the drums are certainly worth well over $100.00 in parts alone. Just a matter of what you wanna do with them.
Worth $100.00 all day long. Those drums will sound Great.
I gig with a single head Slingy set and they sound awesome live and recorded. Go for it, I would, for that price, you can't lose...
Well I know we pay through the nose for everything down here.. but last year a kit of those in a similar condition went for around 250.00au..
Cheers

After looking at the pic a few minutes, if the spurs, and front Trods and claws are there, I see the front bass drum hoop behind the bass drum, if you have the time and desire, you could refinish those drums and they would be absolutely beautiful. It looks like the tom holder is there on the bass drum to slide the toms on with those clip tom mounts. If all those parts are there you have a complete kit. You can use one of your metal/Chrome snares with it. It would not be that hard to refinish those drums. Even with some war scars on them, refinished and a few coats of lacquer and you will have something special. Even though the toms are single head, I think that kit would sound pretty awesome with the correct heads on them. Try to get them for $75, but for $100 your not going to get hurt" I would restore them. They will look great, and sound good too.
I would not alter those toms one bit. Restore them originally.
