'64 Ludwig 5x14 Super-sensitive Last viewed: 8 hours ago

I have for sale a nice '64 Ludwig super-sensitive 5x14. Everything looks original, except maybe a few tension rods. The hoops are COB. The batter hoop has 1/4" crack at the top, but doesn't affect tuning. I can throw a different non-COB hoop on it if you want. Serial # 98247. Baseball bat muffler, Puresound wires. No problems with the strainer. Has some scratches, but little to no pitting, and no flaking. $225 plus shipping. I have a Ludwig case I can throw in for an extra $25, which I would recommend for this drum.

(If) you only find a buyer for the drum, I'd be real interested in buying that case! Wait until you sell the drum. If the case is still around, pm me. You'll have a buyer for it. Hope you sell them both in one shot, but if not... I'm the back-up plan!

Best of luck with the sale. @ $225.00 for a keystone SS it's a straight up give-away!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

I'll let you know about the case if I find a buyer. I figured I would just post a nice price to give someone here a great deal.

Damn, Greg...nice snare and what a killer deal! If I didn't just buy a house I'd probably want in on that action.

Amigos...Greg is a stand-up guy to deal with. Someone please buy this or convince your wife to buy it for you Christmas!

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the kind words Aaron. I have a tentative buyer on another forum, just waiting on an answer.

Funny thing happened last night though. I listed this on CL about a week ago, and only had one response, till last night. Guy sends me a text asking if it was still available. I told him it was tentatively sold. He said if the deal falls through, would I ship it to Kentucky? Told him no problem. Then he asks if I have ever heard of the band Black Stone Cherry? He was just in town a week ago recording an album. I told him yeah, and asked if his dad was in the Kentucky Headhunters? It was John Fred Young, son of Fred Young.
